Kristen

I love dentistry. I have been a dental assistant for many years. I am from Arkansas, and I have lived in Arizona off and on for twenty years. I have four kids: Miah, Jada, D'Andre and DeAngelo. I love taking care of patients and making them happy!

Denise Strand RDH

I began in dentistry as a dental assistant in 1975. I graduated from CCSN-Las Vegas in 1999 with a dental hygiene degree. I moved to the valley in 2002.

Patsy

I grew up in the mid-west. In addition to practicing dental hygiene in Arizona, I have also practiced in Colorado and Iowa. Twenty-five years of my career has been in the treatment and prevention of gum disease. I have been working in the Okun practice for over a decade. My husband and I have three sons, and we are very proud of their accomplishments. Two of our sons are in the United States Coast Guard. Our other son attends Arizona State University. In addition to completely enjoying the opportunity to work with people to help them achieve a level of dental health that impacts their lives in a positive manner, my patients provide me with constant exposure to new and different philosophies, attributes, and ideas about life.

Maria

I have been working in the dental field as an assistant for over thirty years. I lived in California and moved to Maricopa, Arizona last year. I have been married for over thirty years. I am the mother of two daughters, and I have a granddaughter.

Isela

Isela Garcia Leavitt has been working for Dr. Okun and his outstanding staff for over 20 years. Isela graduated with her Dental Hygiene Degree from Phoenix College more than 20 years ago. She was married in 1981 to John Leavitt and has three kids: Mimi, Brittany, and Alex. Mimi attends ASU pursing a degree in Meteorology and Journalism. Brittany is in her senior year of high school at Westwood High in Mesa. Alex, in the fifth grade, is also in his 6th year of drum classes and makes the whole house rock when he practices. Isela has been involved in community service for most of her life and hopes to one day volunteer for the Flying Samaritans and do dental work for the people of Central America.

Teri

I moved to Arizona from Michigan in 1978, and began working for Dr. Okun. I have been here for thirty years. I have four kids. Logan lives in Tempe and he is an electrician. Amanda, who is married and living in Texas, is a hygienest. Cody is at ASU and plays baseball and guitar; he also became an eagle scout this year. Elizabeth is in eigth grade, playing volleyball and running cross country.

Susie Beal

I have been working in the dental field for approximately fifteen years. I have enjoyed my time in the dental field, gaining knowledge of the business aspect as well as the treatment procedures. I am married, and I have three sons and two grandsons. I enjoy motorcycle racing and working "fix up" projects for our home (painting, ceramic tiling, gardening, etc.). I also enjoy my church and the programs it provides.
