Okun Dentistry is proud to offer state of the art technologies to better treat their patients. Digital "X-ray", Digtital Pan and "Intra-oral" cameras have been integrated into the practice for better diagnostics. Mounts'n Motion Ergonomic precision mounting systems have also been installed in each of the treatment rooms to allow Patients and the Doctors the ability to co-discover and interact with the Doctors by viewing the Digital images. We have focused on principles of ergonomic science to enhance the experience of patients and doctors during clinical exam consultations.

Utilizing Mounts'n Motion's ergonomic arms and the latest in digital imaging technologies , the doctor can place the mounted LCD monitor in a chair-side vertical position to allow co-discovery and exam consultations to evaluate the patients treatment needs (as pictured). As a by-product, we have discovered that it creates a psychological component to ergonomic science . Which, in turn, offers to the patient more intimacy in the clinical setting and creates a private circle of trust between the doctor and the patient while reviewing treatment plan options.

A laser is an instrument that produces a very narrow, intense beam of light energy which is not visible to the human eye. When laser light comes into contact with tissue, it causes a reaction. Lasers have been safely used in dentistry since the 1990s – they are safe and effective for a wide range of applications. In our office, we routinely use a soft tissue for a variety of dental procedures.

Gum disease, a leading cause of tooth loss for adults, destroys gums and the bone that supports the teeth, potentially resulting in tooth loss. In our office, we use a soft tissue laser in conjunction with traditional methods to improve the health of your teeth and gums.

Soft tissue laser therapy presents many advantages. The laser disinfects the gum pocket, clearing out the disease-causing bacteria. The laser beam seals the blood vessels and nerve ending as it cuts away damaged tissue, so bleeding is minimal. Trauma is reduced, so most patients feel better and have less swelling or post-operative discomfort following treament.

We are able to capture pictures of the smallest areas of your mouth and project the image onto a computer screen. This allows us to closely inspect old fillings, gum disease, areas of decay. In addition, this allows you the opportunity to be more involved in your care by visualizing the areas that need treatment.

Our digital x-ray system gives you an instant image and reduces radiation by up to 90%! This decreases your overall exposure to radiation and the length of your treatment time.

"Patient Care" along with "Patient Comforts" are important components to our daily practice of Technology Enhanced Dentistry. We have introduced into our practice, Mounts'n Motion Ergonomic Ceiling mounts and Multimedia Entertainment to deliver Chair-side Entertainment as a Distraction Tool for our Patients. We offer a wide variety of movies and music for the patients enjoyment. We have coined the phrase "Cartoon Sedation" for our younger patients.

The doctor can place the mounted LCD monitor in a chair-side horizontal position over the patient while in a reclined position. This allows the patient to relax during long procedures and enjoy their selection of entertainment. (as pictured)
